Boarding Policies

Cancellation Policy

Boarding Policy:  Clients get a full refund if they cancel by noon one week before the stay starts. After that, they get a 25% refund on the first 7 canceled days, and a full refund on any additional days beyond the first week. 
 
Cancellation Policy for Drop-In Visits and Dog Walking: Clients get a full refund if they cancel by noon the day before the visit or walk starts. After that, they get a 25% refund for same-day cancellations.

Extended Care

Nightly rates are based on a 24 hour time period from drop-off to pick-up. Extended Care rates apply if the end time on the final day of the stay is more than 2 hours later than the start time on the first day of the stay. If you drop off at 8:00am, pick up would be before 10:00am on the final day.
2- 8 hours beyond the initial drop-off time would incur an Extended Care fee of $30. Pick-up between 10:00am & 4:00pm would incur an Extended Care fee of $30. Pick-up between 4:00pm & 9:00pm would incur an Extended Care fee of $50. 
 

Additional Information

Things to Bring

  • Their harness if they use one.
  • Food – please always bring a little extra – travel delays sometimes happen!
  • Treats – we have treats too, but it’s best to stick with your dog’s favorite.
  • Bed and/or crate with a small blanket, t-shirt etc that smells of you.
  • Medication, personal supplies etc
 
No need for a leash, raincoat, bowls, toys etc as we have lots here.

Emergency Situations

>While I don’t anticipate any injury or illness with your dog, please know that should anything happen while they’re in my care, I have it covered. My usual protocol is to contact you and/or your emergency contact, advise of the situation, ask what you’d like me to do and, if necessary, take your dog to the vet. In the event of an emergency, I will take your dog to the vet immediately and contact you as soon as possible. A liability waiver and vet release form are required to be completed before the initial stay.

Flea Treatments

Your dog needs to be on flea preventative treatment like Advantage™ If a dog arrives and is found to have fleas,  they will be bathed and given Capstar treatment. Extra costs will be charged. I take flea prevention & treatment very seriously.

Before Booking

Prior to the booking, we set up a Meet and Greet in my home. It will take about 15- 20 minutes. You’ll see where your dog would be staying and I can meet and learn about them. Please click on the New Client Intake and fill out all necessary information. 

Expectations

Your dog must be:

  • Spayed/neutered
  • Over 1 year old
  • 80lb or under
  • Non-aggressive towards other dogs
  • Up to date with vaccinations & flea prevention treatments


A waiver, vet release form & new client intake form needs to be completed before the stay.
